Welcome

WinXAS is a free software for analyzing X-ray absorption spectroscopy data. It contains all common functions for XAFS data reduction (e.g. background and atomic absorption correction, Fourier transformation) together with a suit of general numerical procedures (e.g. smoothing, interpolation, refinement of various profile functions). XAFS data analysis can be performed using experimental or theoretical phases and amplitudes for R space or k space refinements. Moreover, WinXAS offers procedures for analyzing sets of multiple spectra with macro capabilities or principal component analysis.

The WinXAS Tutorials page contains links to several videos on how to use WinXAS for XAFS data reduction and analysis. Experimental spectra used in these videos can also be obtained from this page.
